Life Transition Retreat

Give Yourself a Gift of Quiet Time and Space

Transition brings a lot of uncertainty to your life. Confusion and self-doubt make it difficult for you to see clearly what is going on inside and outside you.

Leave all noise behind and enter the silence.

Listen to your inner voice and set a direction for your transition journey.

I have been guiding private silent retreats in person and online.

I will help you take a private silent retreat at your home, a retreat facility of your choice, or the Wuji House, our retreat cottage in the serene Texas Hill Country

(45-minute drive from Austin Airport).

No retreat experience?

My Silent Retreat Guide (pdf) will tell you everything you need to know for planning and implementing a silent retreat, from logistics to mindful practices. You can also ask me questions.

Thank you so much for a lovely stay and (drum roll, please) my new beginning! The start of the quest to find the magic that will make my soul soar. Together we made significant strides, and I had many Aha! moments. I look forward to one day not being so tired and feeling like I’m in the midst of a shit storm. I also look forward to a life that holds peace and joy. Thank you again for this beautiful space, your amazing self, and the safety for exploration.“

Silent Retreat FAQ

Life Transition Retreat

What is a silent retreat?

A silent retreat will offer you a precious opportunity to explore your inner world without distractions such as conversations, social media, texts, the internet, and TV. It is best to take a retreat at a retreat facility to remove you from your familiar setting. It will help you see your life from a new perspective. Using a retreat facility will also make it easier for you to stay in silence and not succumb to temptations to socialize and be entertained. You can receive maximum benefit by working with an experienced retreat guide. She will help you ask yourself deep questions, clarify your thoughts, review your discoveries, and find a new path.

How does a typical day go during a retreat?

I recommend you rise early and start the day with light physical exercise followed by a short meditation or mindful practice. After a nurturing breakfast, you might try a longer meditation, mindful practice, or contemplation. It is good to incorporate slow-paced, inner-focused physical activities such as yoga, qi-gong, and tai-chi. Keep your meals light, simple, and wholesome, concentrating on whole grains, vegetables, and plant-based proteins. Journaling, spending time in nature, resting, sitting and walking meditation, contemplation, and just being mindful will take up most of your retreat time. I suggest you go to bed early for optimal sleep.

Can I check email just once a day to stay in touch with my family?

I suggest you avoid checking emails, texts, and voice messages during a retreat. The purpose of a retreat is to lose touch with your family and friends to get in touch with yourself. A silent retreat will give you a great opportunity to fully experience your emotions and recognize your thoughts, which tend to be covered by all the distractions in your daily life.
